The 5 most beautiful panoramic points in the Ledro Valley

The best panoramic points in the Ledro Valley

Our beautiful Ledro Valley has no shortage of spectacular panoramic points. You can reach some of them with light walks, within everyone's reach, while others require a little more effort, being part of real trekking itineraries. However, there is no doubt - the Ledro Valley must also be seen from above! So let's have a look at what we think are the 5 most beautiful panoramic points in the Ledro Valley, taking into consideration both easy options and more challenging ones.

The 5 best panoramic points in the Ledro Valley

Punta Larici, a panoramic trek

Let's start with one of the most famous panoramic points of the Ledro Valley and Upper Garda - Punta Larici, a natural terrace between our valley and the largest Italian lake, offering an unforgettable view. Located at a height of 907 meters above sea level, this scenic point is a bit challenging to get to, requiring a walk of 8.6 kilometers with a total altitude difference of around 650 meters. To reach Punta Larici, most people start hiking in Pregasina, at the beginning of the Ledro Valley; it should also be said that the path that leads to Punta Larici can be traveled on foot or by mountain bike.

Belvedere di Bezzecca, a simple walk

The walk that leads to the Belvedere di Bezzecca, another natural terrace with an exceptional view of Lake Ledro, is far less demanding. Here we are at an even higher altitude, 1004 meters above sea level. However, the walk starts in Bezzecca, at 700 meters above sea level, following narrow roads and comfortable, well-marked paths. The walk is in the shade of the trees and follows the course of the Rio Sacher, which then continues flowing into the Massangla and then into Lake Ledro. At the Belvedere you’ll find a bench, perfect for photos and selfies, and you will be able to enjoy a panorama that includes the Bezzecca plain, Lake Ledro and its mountains, with Monte Corno in the centre.

Madonnina di Besta: a different perspective on Lake Ledro

There is a Madonnina that watches over Lake Ledro - we are talking about the statue of the Madonnina di Besta, found on the hills overlooking the beach of the same name in Molina di Ledro. The start of the hike to this viewpoint is usually the Palafitte Museum - from there, walk along Via dei Colli, following the signs for the panoramic point. The first part of the route is entirely along a road with little traffic, and then it continues following a forest trail that becomes a little steep only towards the end, with parapets and steel ropes. Once you arrive, the view over the lake and the valley is spectacular, also thanks to the white statue of the Madonna.

Heart and Big Bench: towards the giant bench of Ledro

When you reach a panoramic point, there is certainly nothing better than finding a nice bench to rest a bit and enjoy the view. Well, someone took this statement to the letter: at Best Ledro Camping, a giant bench was built using the wood from trees felled by the Vaia storm. In the immediate vicinity there is also an equally large wooden heart, perfect for romantic photos. To reach these wooden constructions, start walking from the beach of Molina di Ledro and cross the campsite. The best time? Definitely sunset, for a colourful view!

Cima Parì, a local favourite

Let’s end this list of the best panoramic points of the Ledro Valley with Cima Parì. To get there, you’ll need to follow a challenging hike about 10 kilometers long, with just under 600 meters of altitude difference. The most popular route is the one that starts from Malga Trat and leads to the summit via Bocca di Saval. From up there, the view extends over Lake Ledro, Lake Garda, up to the Brenta Dolomites and Adamello. Truly unmissable!
